According to MacGyver creator Lee Zlotoff, the premiere of the new MacGyver comic book is now set to be held at the New York comic-con in October of this year. The series was originally scheduled to début at the San Diego Comic Con in July, but this has been changed to a previewing of the comic book series instead.
Series co-writer Tony Lee says they decided to rescheduling to the New York Comic-Con to allow new artist Will Sliney time to “settle in” after the departure of Becky Cloonan from the team. “Having it at NYCC means that we can have Will over as well for a signing” Lee went on to say.
